The A Team is the top age group in Athens Youth Football. This group is where players begin preparing for the next level of competition and expectations.

• Players are evaluated for athletic ability, effort, attitude, and coachability.
• Designed to help prepare future middle school and Golden Eagle football players.

The B Team bridges fundamentals and competitive football. Players continue building core skills while learning how to play with structure and confidence.

• Focus on blocking, tackling, spacing, alignment, and team football.
• Players learn positions, assignments, and game-day expectations.
• Builds confidence while increasing the speed and discipline of play.

The C Team is where many players get their first real football experience. The goal is to teach the game, build confidence, and make football fun.

• Focus on fundamentals, effort, listening, and learning how to be part of a team.
• Introduces safe football habits and basic offensive and defensive concepts.
• Builds the foundation for long-term growth in the AYF program.
